Peršokšnos gamtinis pažintinis takas

Žygis, Utenos apskritis

This 3.5 kilometer forest trail near Januliškis follows the Peršokšnos River, part of the Žeimena ichthyological reserve valued as one of Lithuania's key salmon spawning grounds. Wooden boardwalks carry visitors through pine stands and dense old spruce forest, including a roughly 80 year old pyramidal spruce about 27 meters tall, past alder thickets shaped by beaver dams. Information stops along the route cover aquatic and forest plants, timber harvesting practices, and the area's older tradition of resin tapping from pine trees. The marked start is beyond the forestry building at the edge of Januliškis village, in Švenčionys district.
