Graži vieta, Kurzeme
First documented in 1253 and rebuilt into its present Baroque form in 1734, this manor beside Lake Tāši changed hands through the von Rapp, von Korff and von Keyserlingk families before Gotthard von Schröder became its last private owner in 1908 and the state took it over in 1922. Its Kungu House still bears a Baroque stone entrance portal carved from Gotland sandstone, while the main house retains original parquet flooring, 19th-century wall panels and a Baroque garden planted with heritage apple varieties across 10 hectares of grounds. A primary school operated inside the manor until 1969, restoration has continued since 2000, and the site can be visited by prior appointment for a donation, with guided tours of 1-2 hours covering its history and garden design.
