Klaipėda University Botanical Garden was founded in 1993, alongside the university's new biology and ecology study programmes. It covers 9.3 hectares on the right bank of the Danė river valley in the northern part of Klaipėda. Plants are displayed in dendrology, medicinal-and-spice-plant, and herbaceous ornamental collections, alongside an alpinum and a rosarium.
