The Westernmost Point of Latvia

Apžvalgos vieta, Kurzeme

A stone monument called Zaļais Stars, meaning Green Star, marks the westernmost point of Latvia along the Baltic Sea coast in Nīca parish. Sculptor Vilis Titāns placed this marker in 1998 as one of four stone signs designating the country’s northern, southern, eastern and western extremes. The site sits on the sandy shoreline near Jaunciems, offering open views of the sea at Latvia’s edge.
