This roughly 16 km walking or cycling route starts from a rest area in Viešvilė, a historic Lithuania Minor town, and runs through Karšuva forest and the Viešvilė State Nature Reserve, one of only four strict state nature reserves in Lithuania, reaching the Kaskalnis geomorphological reserve, home to the area’s highest continental dunes - the "sea floor" of the route’s name refers to this ancient seabed and dune landscape. The route also passes the site of a former Soviet missile base.
