A hilltop platform measuring roughly 24 by 19 meters rises seven to ten meters above the surrounding land near Papėčiai village in Alytus district, built as a fortified settlement attributed to the first millennium AD. Lying within Metelių Regional Park, it offers a rare vantage point from which all three of Dzūkija’s major lakes, Metelys, Obelija, and Dusia, can be seen at once. A shelter and information board on a neighboring hill help visitors take in the panorama, which is said to be especially striking at sunrise and sunset.
