Pakruojo parkas

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

Laid out in English landscape style between 1835 and 1840 on the initiative of the von Ropa family, the park surrounds the brick manor ensemble built in Pakruojis from 1817 to 1840. Its best-known feature is a 33-meter arch bridge-dam over the Kruoja River, constructed in 1821 from local dolomite and often cited as the only surviving structure of its kind from the late-Classicist period in Lithuania. Former estate buildings on the grounds, including granaries, a smithy, and stables, have since been restored for tours, dining, and cultural events.
