Aktyvaus laisvalaikio vieta, Vidzeme
Viesakas is a private deer park and hunting-trophy museum on more than 500 hectares of forest in Jumurda parish, Madona novads, Vidzeme. Owners Gunta Cunska and Agris Klimanovs, who took over the former forester's homestead in the early 1990s, keep several hundred European red deer, fallow deer, mouflon and elk on the grounds, alongside Latvia's largest private shooting range and a hunting and nature museum that won the CIC's Edmond Blanc Award for game conservation. The property is not open to casual walk-in visitors; access is by prior arrangement only.
