Žygis, Alytaus apskritis
This roughly 3.6 kilometer loop trail starts at the Dzūkija National Park visitor center in Marcinkonys and circles an old mill pond on the Duobupis, winding through the pine forests on the settlement's southern edge. Shelters, benches and a small beach along the pond give walkers a place to rest partway around the loop. Information stops along the path highlight Dzūkija's dry pine forest plants and mushrooms, plus the pond's aquatic life, including the fire bellied toad, a species protected under Lithuania's Red Data Book, and white water lilies.
