One of the largest open-air ethnographic museums in Europe by exhibit count, this museum in Rumšiškės displays residential houses, farm buildings, and technical and industrial monuments relocated from all of Lithuania's ethnographic regions: Žemaitija, Dzūkija, Aukštaitija and Suvalkija. The site holds 140 buildings and roughly 90,000 other exhibits spread across 195 hectares, with some structures over 200 years old. It hosts traditional annual events including Užgavėnės, Žolinė, a bathhouse day, Joninės and Oninės. The museum also runs year-round educational programs for children and adults covering living history, culinary heritage, family customs, crafts, and calendar customs, with seasonal offerings such as a Christmas cottage program, Easter egg traditions in spring, and shepherd customs around Midsummer.
