Medžiokalnis

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

Wrapped in legends of a sacred oak whose roots once sent up holy water, a sacred fire that burned nearby, and a statue of the goddess Medeinė, this hill in Kražiai served as a royal hunting ground and manor estate where Grand Duke Sigismund Augustus and princes of the Kęsgailos, Radvila and Chodkevičius families once rested and hunted. Today it is a popular gathering place for Kražiai's young people, hosting the annual Midsummer (Joninės) celebrations, bonfires, concerts and other events.
