Ainja järv is a dam lake in Ainja village, Mulgi Parish, on the southern edge of the Sakala uplands in Viljandi County. It covers 21.3 hectares, stretches 1.2 km, and reaches a maximum depth of 2.3 m; it has been under landscape protection since 1964 as part of the Ainja Landscape Protection Area. The swimming spot lies in the lake's northwestern corner near the dam, where a firm, sandy bottom has formed. The lake is also fished for pike, perch, bream and carp.
