Toomarahva

Kempingas, Laane-Virumaa

This family-run tourism farm has operated since 1995 in Altja, a small fishing village inside Lahemaa National Park whose name first appears in written records from 1465. Its thatched-roof wooden buildings sit among the historic Toomarahva and Uustalu farm complexes that the village has preserved from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with a garden filled with flowers and sculptures. Guests stay in converted outbuildings, including a barn loft that sleeps six and a separate cottage with a kitchenette, and can also sleep in the hay above the farm's wood-fired sauna. The property backs onto the sea, a river, and forest trails, and offers an old country sauna, traditional Estonian massage, and a play yard with swings and a sandbox for children.
