Rāceņu ezers is a 34.9-hectare lake in Lazdona parish, about 1 kilometer from Lazdona village and 3 kilometers from Madona, with an average depth of 4.6 meters and a maximum depth of 10.7 meters. Public recreation areas are maintained on both its eastern and western shores, and a roughly 4-kilometer circular route follows lakeside forest paths and a stretch of asphalt road around it. A separate 5.2-kilometer trail also links Rāceņu ezers to the nearby Vadzola lake.
