Laiuse voor

Graži vieta, Jogevamaa

Rising 145 meters above sea level in northern Vooremaa, this drumlin ridge is the highest point in the Vooremaa landscape region, about 6 kilometers from Jõgeva. The ridge stretches roughly 10 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide, with a steep western slope and a gentler eastern slope, standing 61 meters above nearby Lake Kuremaa. Raaduvere is one of several villages at its foot, along with Alavere, Altvälja, Kasevere and Kuremaa. At its summit sits Vilina village, the site of an ancient hill fort, and the Laiuse Siniallikas (Blue Spring), long known in local tradition for supposed healing properties.
