Iškylos vieta, Vidzeme
Latvia’s State Forests maintain this rest stop on the shore of Riebiņu ezers in Straupe parish, the second largest lake in the parish at 75.5 hectares with an average depth of only 2.3 meters. The site provides a toilet, parking, a campfire area, a changing cabin and tables, and serves as the starting point for a roughly 6 kilometer circular nature trail. The first 3 kilometers of that trail cross a protected micro reserve of oak and pine trees averaging 156 to 176 years old, and the walk also passes near the Ērgļu hillfort between Riebiņu and neighboring Eiķēnu lake.
