A cross and a traditional "stogastulpis" memorial post, consecrated on November 6, 1988, mark the site of the childhood homestead of poet Jonas Aistis-Aleksandravičius, one of Lithuania's best-known poets. The first commemorative gathering here took place on July 8, 1988. The site, now part of Dovainonys, was historically called "Išlauža."
