This church was built around 1939 after canon Matas Cijūnaitis of Žasliai purchased the old wooden Kernavė church in 1933 and had it moved to Krivonys. Parents of a priest from Krivonys, Jonas Žižliauskas, helped Cijūnaitis establish the parish and build the church here.
