The Southern Mole is a breakwater more than 700 metres long protecting the entrance to Liepāja's port, reached by walking along the beach from Kūrmājas prospekts or the end of Roņu iela. About 200 metres of the mole has a level, paved surface; beyond that it turns into piled stones, making the rest of the walk rougher. Near the shore end stands "Fish Jumping Out of the Shore," a sculpture by local artist Ivonna Kalita.
