Asveja Regional Park was established in 1992 in eastern Lithuania to protect the landscape of the Asveja lake system. It covers 12,207 hectares - about 60% forest, 17% lakes and 8% wetland. Lake Asveja is one of the longest lakes in Lithuania, winding in several branches between hilly shores.
