Paminklas Lietuvos Didžiajam kunigaikščiui Vyteniui

Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis

This monument by sculptor Raimundas Dzimidavičius, on a slope overlooking the Dubysa valley in Raseiniai, honors Grand Duke Vytenis, who ruled Lithuania from 1295 to 1316. During his reign he defended Samogitia, fought the Teutonic Knights and expanded the state's borders through an alliance with Riga that strengthened trade, before passing a stable, well-defined state to his successor Gediminas.
