Žygis, Kurzeme
This 1.6 km loop trail follows the Venta River past Skrunda's castle mound, giving views across the surrounding Kurzeme lowland. Starting near the open-air stage on Saldus Street, the gravel path is level enough for wheelchairs and strollers and takes roughly half an hour to an hour to walk, passing wooden chairs carved by sculptor Ģirts Burvis, a barefoot path, and posts recounting local legends. Benches, a rest area with a fire pit and firewood, restrooms, and a boat launch line the route, and the trail is lit for evening walks.
