Salos Manor in Utena district traces its history to 1554, when Elizabeth Radziwill passed Salos to her husband Jeronymas Sieniavskis as a dowry. On 5 March 1561, Grand Duke Sigismund Augustus granted the settlement town rights. The estate belonged to the Kesgailai and later the Radziwill family, who used it for hunting. Today it operates as a cultural and leisure residence with a 7-hectare park, a remnant of the estate's former 14-hectare hunting reserve.
