Graži vieta, Valgamaa
These sandstone caves in Valgamaa are considered Estonia's oldest surviving caves, formed naturally by underground springs and later enlarged by people for practical use. A three-meter exposed layer of Burtnieki white sandstone is visible at the site, which originally held seven caves - including the largest, known as "Moosese kirik" (Moses' Church) - used as wartime defense structures by ancient Estonians. Most of the original caves have since collapsed, but three remain accessible, located in a manor park just north of the Helme castle ruins near the Latvian border.
