Covering 24.9 hectares, Lake Verijärv lies in Võru Parish, Võru County, near Kose and Verijärve villages, and is a popular swimming destination for residents of nearby Võru town. A roughly 1 km lakeside trail with nine information boards on local plants and wildlife links two RMK campfire sites and leads to a rest area marking a spot once painted by Estonian artist Konrad Mägi. The lake sits within the Haanja-Karula recreation area managed by RMK.
