Lake Tapeliai covers 13.1 hectares within the Tapeliai Landscape Reserve, established in 1996 to protect a lake-studded stretch of the Antaviliai ravine in the Neris floodplain northeast of Vilnius. Reaching 18 meters at its deepest point, the dark-watered lake is ringed by forest, and its western and southern shores each hold a supervised beach with benches, a diving platform, and changing cabins during the summer season. The western rest area offers a quieter, forest-shielded alternative to Vilnius's busier city beaches.
