Kempingas, Ida-Virumaa
Within the Northern Lake Peipus Recreation Area in Ida-Viru County, Aidu-Nõmme campfire site sits on the shore of a flooded former oil shale quarry near Aidu village. Mining ended here in 2012, leaving a striking pit lake of pale blue water against high light-coloured banks. RMK maintains the free site with a fireplace, picnic shelter, firewood and parking, connected to the Penijõe-Aegviidu-Kauksi hiking route about 1.5 km from the Aidu Water Sports Centre.
