This interactive fairy-tale nature trail in Dovainonys forest, near the scenic Mergakalnis hill beside the Kaunas Reservoir and a hillfort, features five "barstukai," thumb-sized folklore gnomes from old Baltic mythology - Girulis, Vėdrynė, Spanguolis, Mariabarzdis and Naktižiedė - each with its own themed little house along the path. At each house visitors scan a QR code to unlock an animated character story, and the trail ends with a forest riddle whose solution leads to a hidden "treasure." It is funded by the Lithuanian Culture Council and Kaišiadorys district municipality, and run by the Rumšiškės cultural center's Dovainonys branch.
