The outcrop and outcrop of the Jurakalnis ravine is located in the Venta regional park, Akmenė district, near Papilė. The information of the protected areas describes this object as a distinct relief form formed by linear erosion, where the effects of erosion are visible: outcrops, horns, ditches and springs gushing out of them. The most geologically valuable here are the rock outcrops of the Jurassic period, which due to natural erosion are available for research and familiarization of visitors. The object is connected with the Jurakalnis geological-cognitive trail and the observation tower, so it is convenient to visit it as a short hike in the vicinity of Papilė. It is more a place to learn about geology and the landscape than a classic viewpoint, so it is worth taking your time and reading the information boards.
