Unveiled on June 14, 1989 and created by V. Smitrius, this memorial near Ariogala honors deportees and political prisoners from the town and surrounding area who died in exile and Soviet labor camps between 1941 and 1953. A stylized tapering obelisk topped with a cross stands alongside stones gathered from the local area, each inscribed with victims' names, deportation years and destinations.
