Žygis, Alytaus apskritis
This 8-kilometer circular educational trail winds through the Punia forest landscape reserve near Alytus, taking roughly 2-3 hours to complete. The hilly route crosses steep sections aided by ropes and stairs, passing centuries-old oaks named after Lithuanian rulers, the Panemuninkai hillfort and escarpment, and views across the Nemunas River to Punia hillfort. Along the way hikers also encounter a WWII-era partisan bunker that once served as headquarters for the Dainava resistance district.
