Graži vieta, Utenos apskritis

Aukštaitija National Park is Lithuania's oldest national park (established 1974) and its second-largest, located in the northeast to protect the lake-rich Žeimena headwaters landscape. It covers 40,574 hectares - 69% forest, 15.5% water - and contains 126 lakes, including Lithuania's deepest lake, Tauragnas (60.5 m), and the park's largest lakes: Kretuonas, Dringis and Baluošas. The park also preserves old Aukštaitija villages with traditional wooden architecture.
