This nature trail near Vaiņode in South Kurzeme combines two short routes: a 600 m boardwalk-and-stairs loop around Volzbaha hill, opened in 2018 with a viewing platform over water, and a separate 1.2 km walking trail leading to the Lielbāta spring near Vaiņode Castle. The spring is considered the largest natural clear-water spring in Latvia, with water staying at a constant 6°C year-round and visibly steaming in severe winter cold. In winter, Volzbaha hill also has a ski/sledding slope over 130 m long with a lift and lighting, making the area popular in both summer and winter.
