Utenos eglė is the city's main Christmas tree, set up each year on Utenio aikštė square in front of the Utena District Municipality building. The same tree frame has been reused for several seasons, redressed each year with live evergreen branches and lights. In a public online vote ranking Lithuania's most beautiful municipal Christmas trees it has tied for 4th-6th place alongside the trees of Vilnius and Klaipėda.
