Lukštų spring

Graži vieta, LT

Lukštai Spring in Rokiškis district emerges from the ground at three or more points, forming a fast-flowing stream that feeds into the Šaltuoja creek, a tributary of the Vyžuona. A stone table, steps and a slope-reinforcing wall have been built around it. The site remains important to Old Believers - every July 12, on St. Peter's Day, people gather here not only from Lithuania but also from Latvia and the Daugavpils area to draw and wash with the spring water.
