Talsu pauguraine is a nature park protecting one of northern Kurzeme's most distinctive hilly landscapes, shaped by glacial moraine and dotted with small, deep lakes. Protected since 1987 (as a landscape area since 1977), the park includes Kamparkalns hill, topped by a 28-metre observation tower overlooking forests, hills and lakes. It is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists exploring the area around Talsi town.
