Sātiņu dīķi is a 3,780 hectare nature reserve southwest of Saldus, spanning the Pampāļi, Zirņi, Kursīši and Novadnieki parishes. Established in 1999, it centers on a complex of fish ponds, including Liekna, Silzemju, Kurpnieku and Pļavnieku, that provide nesting and stopover habitat for waterfowl. Surrounding forests hold breeding raptors and black storks, and the site is a Natura 2000 territory recognized as an internationally important bird area.
