This Kirkšnovė-Kaulakiai stretch is part of the E11 trail ("Miško takas"/Forest Trail) - a European long-distance hiking route starting at the Poland-Lithuania border near Lazdijai and running through Latvia (via Riga) to Tallinn, Estonia. Its Lithuanian section covers about 747 km through some of the country's most scenic forests and national parks, marked with white-orange-white trail blazes.
