Marked from a trailhead on Vaiguvos gatvė in Plokščiai, Šakiai district, this roughly 7-kilometer educational trail loops through forest paths and village roads, and should not be confused with the well-known Plokštinė Cold War missile base trail in Žemaitija National Park, an entirely different site. Along the way it passes the Šventaduobė sacred spring, the Plokščiai hillfort, the Vaiguva river-street, Plokščiai church, a soldiers’ cemetery, the Kriaučiūnas homestead and the Kudirka stone. Because Plokščiai sits on the slope of the Nemunas valley, the route includes several uphill and downhill stretches and a couple of wooden footbridges.
