Graužio lake park

Graži vieta, Vilniaus apskritis

Originally a small glacial pond, the lake beside this Lentvaris park was enlarged in the 19th century by the Tiškevičius family, who diverted water from Lake Galvė and had landscape architect Édouard François André add an artificial waterfall and water mill, whose ruins survive today. A 2017-2019 redevelopment funded partly through EU structural funds (about 1.5 million euros) added walking and cycling paths, a children's playground, exercise equipment, a sports court, two volleyball courts, a boat dock, changing cabins, and fire pits along the shore.
