Piusa matkarada

Kempingas, Võrumaa

Managed by RMK (the State Forest Management Centre), this campfire site lies in Võrumaa’s Räpina-Värska recreation area right next to the Piusa museum caves, a former sand quarry famous for its sandstone tunnels and bat colonies. Facilities include a covered fireplace, tables and benches under a tree shelter, and a dry toilet, with room for up to four tents, though there is no water source on site. It also serves as a stop on the long-distance Peraküla-Aegviidu-Ähijärve hiking trail, and parking is available in the adjacent museum caves lot.
