Skats uz Gaujas senleju is a viewpoint on Kalna iela in Sigulda overlooking the Gauja ancient valley, the glacially carved valley that forms the core of Gauja National Park. The valley is 1 to 2.5 kilometers wide and reaches a depth of about 85 meters near Sigulda. Its bedrock began forming 370-300 million years ago, and the valley took its present shape around 12,000-13,000 years ago as glacial meltwater reshaped the landscape.
