Each year on Midsummer's Eve, the village of Ääsmäe in Saue Parish gathers at its Külaplats community ground on Pärtlemäe tee for a traditional jaanituli bonfire celebration, organized by the Ääsmäe Külakogu village council. Past editions have featured live music, folk dance performances, food and drink from the on-site Külaplatsi café, and activities such as pony rides for children. The community ground also includes a grill house and other year-round recreational facilities shared by residents of Ääsmäe and neighboring Tagametsa.
