Pirita rand is Tallinn's largest sandy beach, about 2.45 km long with an average width of 50-60 metres, stretching along the coast next to the Pirita Sports Centre near the mouth of the Pirita River. The beach has changing cabins, children's playgrounds and ball courts, with beach chairs, kiosks and a beach bar operating in summer. It is reached via Merivälja tee and the Supluse promenade, about a 15-minute public transport ride from central Tallinn.
