Raudonės malūnas

Graži vieta, Tauragės apskritis

First documented in 1717, when Raudonė already had a tavern and mill alongside the castle, the present mill building appears to date from construction starting around 1860, shown in architectural drawings from 1875-1876, with the interior fitted out after 1877. A distillery operated in part of the building from 1923, the mill itself was formally established in 1924, and after WWI the building saw residential and storage use before operating postwar as a state mill with an attached sawmill. The mill is currently privately owned; reconstruction and public access are planned but not yet available, and the site cannot currently be entered.
