Sunākstes mācītājmuižas parks occupies the grounds of a Lutheran parsonage built from 1682 on the order of Duke Frederick Casimir of Courland, now within Viesīte Municipality. The original buildings burned down in 1860 and were later demolished by German troops in 1917, leaving the park with its old trees as the main surviving feature. In 2020 the Stendera society restored an avenue through the park as the Augstās gudrības taka (High Wisdom Trail), lined with 28 boards quoting Gothards Frīdrihs Stenders' 18th-century encyclopaedia and leading to the Gudrības avotiņš spring. In 2022 sculptor Ojārs Feldbergs created the Gaismas vārti (Gates of Light) sculpture on the former parsonage's foundations.
