This is the birthplace and childhood home of Lidija Meškaitytė, a noted Lithuanian miniaturist artist whose meticulous, sensitive miniature works reflect the landscape, nature and rural life of Lithuania Minor where she grew up. The homestead is preserved as a cultural landmark tied to her life and legacy, and is the 4th stop on the "Lidijos takais" ("Lidija’s Trails") tourist route created to explore her work and birthplace.
