Poeto Jono Mačiulio-Maironio gimtinė (Pasandravys)

Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis

This site in Pasandravys village preserves the birthplace of Lithuania's celebrated poet Maironis (Jonas Mačiulis), including the foundations of the manor house, a well with notable stonework, and a restored stone shed, alongside a birch-lined avenue, a spring and streams that inspired his poetry. A one-kilometer path connects the birthplace to Bernotai, where his parents' later estate stands with an old garden, a pine tree the poet planted, and an original ice storage building. A 2020 project by the Raseiniai Regional History Museum added reconstructed outlines of the manor and video projections bringing his life and work to visitors.
