Kaltanėnų parkas

Graži vieta, Utenos apskritis

Kaltanėnai's manor park was laid out in the 19th century on the right bank of the Žeimena River, combining a free landscape layout with geometric elements typical of period estate parks. It shelters a mix of cut-leaf and downy birches, red northern oaks, fragrant poplars, Swedish rowans and maples, and borders the restored 1838 manor granary (svirnas), which today houses a café, exhibition space and small museum. The Kaltanėnai manor ensemble, including the park and granary, is registered as protected state cultural heritage.
