Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis
Gargždai's central square is officially named Rinkos aikštė (Market Square) and was restored in 2003 to mark the city's 750th anniversary, when a fountain was added. On its edge stands a two-story brick house built in 1925 by Petras and Jadvyga Blagnys together with Vaclovas Pareigis, which was nationalized by the Soviet authorities in April 1947. The square remains the focal point of the town's historical center.
